Clinical Integration IPA (CIIPA)
Clinicians are encouraged to join the Health System's IPA to improve accessibility to its employees. There are approximately 38,000 employees, which translates into approx 100,000 persons when families are considered. Fees are 110% of Medicare. Please read letter1 and letter2.

AllScripts Electronic Health Record (EHR)
Go to www.nslij.com/ehr for an overview and schedule of demonstrations of the AllScripts EHR being adopted by the full time staff and promoted to the voluntary staff. Reimbursement is up to 85% of fees, and the integration of tablets, iPod Touch/iPhones, and Dragon speech recognition is an eye opening experience. Adoption by 2011 can lead to $44k in federal subsidies.
The current logo was designed in 2004. The new name has not yet been unveiled, but the purpose is to make it more succinct. The new medical school has something to do with it. Think Hofstra, Long Island, Jewish, .... Some offices may wish to delay printing business cards.
