Hofstra University Medical School

Announced at the LIJ Staff Society on 1/27/08 is that Dr. Larry Smith has been named Dean of the Hofstra University Medical School. Dr. Smith is currently the Chief Medical Officer of the North Shore - LIJ Health System. He will hold both appointments during the startup period. The first class is slated to matriculate in 2011. The Health System will provide the clinical campuses for the Medical School.
